Terms & Conditions
The Bluewater Summit 2027 · Key West, FL · January 6 to 10, 2027
Welcome, and thank you for joining us at The Bluewater Summit 2027 in Key West, Florida, January 6 to 10, 2027. These terms explain how tickets, refunds, transfers, and the on-water activities work, so you know exactly where you stand when you book. By purchasing a ticket you agree to the terms below.
Refunds & cancellations
If you need to cancel, email us at vip@bluewatercruising.com. We go by the date we receive your written request, measured against the first day of the Summit (January 6, 2027):
| When we receive your request | Refund |
|---|---|
| 60 or more days before | Full refund, less a 20% administration fee (you receive 80%) |
| 31 to 59 days before | 50% of the total ticket price |
| 30 days or fewer before | Non-refundable |
- Refunds are calculated on the full amount you paid.
- The kids' program is included with your registration at no separate charge and follows the same refund schedule as your ticket. The Sunday sailing adventure is a separate, member-to-member arrangement (see below) and isn't part of your ticket price, so it isn't part of this refund schedule.
- Because tickets become non-refundable within 30 days, we recommend booking travel insurance when you book your trip (see Travel insurance below).
Transfers & name changes
You can transfer your ticket to another person, free of charge, up to 30 days before the Summit. Just email us at vip@bluewatercruising.com with the new attendee's name and details and we'll take care of the rest.
If we cancel or reschedule
- If we cancel the Summit, you'll receive a full refund of your ticket and any add-ons.
- If we reschedule, your ticket carries over to the new dates. If the new dates don't work for you, a full refund is available.
- We are not able to reimburse travel, flights, or lodging costs if we cancel or reschedule, so we recommend booking refundable travel and accommodation where you can, and considering travel insurance.
The Sunday sailing adventure
Some attending members bring their own boats to the Summit, and graciously volunteer to take other members out for a recreational sail. We help interested members sign up and get matched with a volunteering owner. It's one of the highlights of the week, and here is how it works:
- It is first come, first served. Spaces are limited, and there are even fewer spots for children than for adults, set by how many people each boat can safely carry. Let us know early if you'd like to be matched with a volunteering owner.
- A space is not guaranteed and depends on how many members volunteer their boats and how many spots they have available.
- It's a recreational sail on a volunteer member's own boat — not a Bluewater-owned or chartered vessel, and not transportation. We don't charge for it, arrange it as a paid excursion, or provide the boat or crew — we only help members find each other. The sail typically departs from and returns to the same location, purely for the enjoyment of being on the water, and no more than six guests will be aboard any one boat at a time.
- The sail is open to guests ages 5 and up, and children must bring their own properly fitted life jacket. Everyone joining signs a short participant waiver and follows the instructions of the boat owner and anyone they bring aboard to help.
Travel & ticket insurance
Because tickets are non-refundable inside 30 days, and because we can't reimburse travel or lodging if plans change on either side, we strongly recommend purchasing travel and trip-cancellation insurance when you book your travel. It's an easy way to protect your trip against the unexpected, from a missed flight to an illness that keeps you home.
